360 000

360 000 is an installation that was exhibited for the tenth anniversary of Les Nuits Sonores festival in Lyon (16-20 May 2012). The project was developed in close collaboration with Martial Geoffre-Rouland and Looking For Architecture, who was responsible for the whole scenography of the event.
Scenario
360 000 was the total number of seconds that the festival lasted. A counter periodically appeared, giving the tempo for relaxing animations that were displayed then. More than thirty different animations were written and triggered according to a scenario that lasted for a whole night of concerts. Some of the animations were reactive to the sound coming from one of three scenes around.
Technical details
The installation itself was composed of 186 versatubes, each one made of 36 LEDs. The system was driven by a custom software written with Openframeworks, supporting live coding through the use of javascript and glsl shaders.
More
360 000 appears in some photos on Resident Advisor report and facebook page of the event.
