Processing booksprint

Books Processing Workshops - 12th September 2010
Processing Floss manual

I am very happy to announce the release of the first french Processing book. I had the pleasure to take part in its writing alongside with Adama Dembele, Elisa Godoy de Castro Guerra, Adam Hyde, Alexandre Quessy, Horia Cosmin Samoïla, Douglas Edric Stanley and Lionel Tardy.

The event took place in Paris from the 5th to the 10th of September 2010 and was made possible by Christian Ambaud from l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.

The book was edited and published through the Floss manuals platform, using the booksprint technique. It allowed us to write about 250 pages in just 5 days.

This book is completely free, so feel free to print it and distribute it. If you want a good printed copy of it, you can find one onLulu’s website, where the book is already available for purchase.
We encourage anyone to take part in its evolution by correcting mistakes or writing new paragraphs, which is made easy by the Floss manuals website.

On Saturday, there was a public presentation hosted by Le Centre de Ressources Arts sensitifs @ Mains d’Oeuvre. We had a very quick presentation of Processing itself, Adam talked about the philosophy of Floss manuals and finally we discussed the content of the book, answering a few questions at the end.
